FSU in constant contact with in-state wide receiver target

Treiy Crenshaw is an unranked wide receiver in the 2028 recruiting class, but the Santa Rosa Beach, Florida product has drawn the attention of programs across the country, including the FSU Seminoles.

Florida State offered him a scholarship on June 10 and has not stopped recruiting him since, he told Rivals' Chad Simmons.

“Florida State has really been recruiting me hard. They are contacting me every day, and it has been great with them since I was there in June.”

At 6-foot-4, he has the height that colleges covet, and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Mississippi State Bulldogs, and West Virginia Mountaineers are also recruiting him now. However, FSU head coach Mike Norvell personally extending him the offer has the Seminoles in a good spot early.

“Coach Norvell came up to me personally and talked to me," he explained. "Then he offered me after the 7-on-7. How involved he is with me, his players and how much energy he shows has really interested me in Florida State."

Crenshaw spent his sophomore season at Douglas High School in Douglas, Alabama, before transferring to South Walton High School ahead of his junior season. He was their No. 1 wide receiver last year, catching 30 passes for 565 yards and eight touchdowns in nine games.

FSU currently has two commitments in its 2028 recruiting class, three-star athlete Chayse Brown and three-star tight end Troy Solberzahn, who are both from the Sunshine State. The next step for FSU is getting Crenshaw back on campus for another visit so he can see the atmosphere inside Doak Campbell Stadium for a game.
