Georgia football has another late addition for its 2026 recruiting class with a wide receiver that was headed to junior college.
Flowery Branch’s Tre Shields signed with the Bulldogs Friday night while on an official visit, his high school coach told AccessNorthga, com.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Shields was set to play for Hutchinson Community College in Kansas but became academically eligible after finishing up course work last week, Flowery Branch coach Michael Perry said.
“Basically, every college that came to visit us loved him,” Perry told AccessNorthga, com. “South Florida offered him, then Georgia jumped in, and Georgia got him.”
Shields had 54 catches for 1,038 yards and 9 touchdowns last season.
Shields is the second addition to Georgia’s 2026 class since spring practices ended.
Georgia also added running back Nick Peal from Roswell High.
