The Georgia Bulldogs are in the thick of their season and hopeful to keep things on the right track after the first three weeks did not present much of a real test so far, winning the three games by 138 combined points.

With nobody scoring more points than this team across the country, fan focus is on the field, and while the coaches are also focused on putting the best possible product on the field, they are also looking towards the future. The recruiting trail never stops, and this is the case right now with flip season heating up ahead of signing day.

One name who the Dawgs have been pursuing for some time now is an in-state cornerback committed elsewhere in 2027 three-star Preston Glasco out of Grayson High School. With Glasco currently committed to UConn, things are starting to heat up as Georgia circles along with the Alabama Crimson Tide and South Carolina Gamecocks.

According to some intel from Rivals, he could be nearing a final decision soon as he takes one of his final visits to Alabama this weekend.

Glasco Will Decide This Fall Where He is Going

Notably, Glasco clarified to Rivals that he is still committed to UConn and the fact that they showed interest before anyone else is a huge bonus as well as the chance to get on the field early in his career.

By the sounds of it though, the Alabama pursuit is very real with Glasco pointing out the way the Tide has been able to develop defensive backs of his size here in the past as well. South Carolina is in the mix, but this seems largely a race between UConn, Georgia and Alabama as Glasco evaluates whether or not he wants to stick with his original pledge or play for a big brand in his own backyard.

Ultimately, this feels like the kind of recruitment where a flip is brewing, but with the Tide potentially getting the final visit, it could be a huge bonus for Alabama's chances of landing his commitment.

Still, Georgia has the in-state advantage, and as Glasco nears a final decision over the coming months, the Bulldogs should be going all in if they are indeed determined to land one more defensive back for 2027.

This recruitment is worth monitoring over the next several weeks, because it does seem like something big could be coming.
