Georgia ranked in top-5 of preseason US LBM Coaches Poll

The Georgia Bulldogs are the No. 3 team in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll. Georgia and coach Kirby Smart return a ton of talent from the 2025 team that won the SEC championship and lost to the Ole Miss Rebels in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff.
USA TODAY Sports revealed Georgia's ranking and the full top-25 in a live show. Georgia is ranked as the best team in the SEC and enters the 2026 college football season with sky-high expectations as usual.
Georgia received the third-most first-place votes in the country with seven. Georgia is ranked behind the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 2 Oregon Ducks. The No. 4 Texas Longhorns and No. 5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish round out the top-five. The defending national champion Indiana Hoosiers are ranked No. 6.
Georgia is defending back-to-back SEC champions. The Bulldogs were predicted to win SEC again during SEC media days. Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton is a Heisman contender and the Dawgs need.
