Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key is a former Yellow Jackets offensive lineman himself, and has to be excited whenever he can recruit a blue chip offensive line prospect to the program.

Key has done just that by landing four-star offensive tackle Kal-el Johnson for the class of 2027. Johnson is a mountain of a man, standing 6-foot-8 and weighing 325 pounds.

The Ohio product was said to be considering Indiana, North Carolina and LSU before ultimately going with Georgia Tech. Maryland was also reportedly in the running.

The Yellow Jackets have improved record-wise throughout the previous four seasons of Key's tenure, and streak may continue into the future with high-level recruits such as Johnson.

Johnson plays his high school football at Archbishop Moeller in Cincinnati.
