How Oregon Ducks transfers performed in Week 4 of the 2026 season

Week 4 brought the Oregon Ducks a much-needed win over the USC Trojans, bringing the Ducks to three wins and adding a resume-building victory to their name. As strong as the high school recruiting classes have been in recent years at Oregon, there were transfers who excelled all over the field against USC on Saturday night.

The most notable was backup quarterback Dylan Raiola, who entered the game in the first half in replacement of the injured Dante Moore and promptly threw a touchdown pass and finished with 289 passing yards and two scores. The Nebraska transfer was ready for the moment when his name was called.

Other additions via the transfer portal included tight end Jamari Johnson (career-highs with seven catches for 119 yards) and wide receiver Evan Stewart (seven catches, 56 yards and a touchdown) while safety Koi Perich recorded his first interception as a Duck to finish off the game.

While the Ducks used the talents of transfers against the Trojans, that same sentiment occurred at other programs across the country in college football in Week 4, with former Ducks stepping up and performing with their new teams.

S Kingston Lopa — California Golden Bears

Once again, Kingston Lopa had a standout game for the Golden Bears, this time on Friday night. He tied for the game-high 11 tackles, seven of which were solo despite California falling to Clemson, 24-10. Lopa now has 29 tackles, five interceptions and a pick six in just four games, experiencing a full-on breakout after leaving Oregon.

LB Kamar Mothudi — California Golden Bears

California scored 10 points against Clemson, with linebacker Kamar Mothudi scoring six of them as he recovered a fumble and ran it to the end zone. He also totaled six tackles in the loss.

CB Sione Laulea — Missouri Tigers

Emerging as one of Missouri's most reliable cover men, Sione Laulea had eight tackles in Missouri's 31-24 defeat at Mississippi State. He now has 17 tackles (fifth on the team) and an interception.

RB Makhi Hughes — Houston Cougars

While Makhi Hughes hasn't quite had a breakout performance with the Houston Cougars, he's consistently churning out yards week-by-week. In Week 4 against Georgia Southern, Hughes carried the ball 16 times for 70 yards while catching one pass for 14 yards in the 42-28 victory.

LB Keith Brown — Washington State Cougars

Keith Brown's final season of eligibility has been his best, as he recorded eight tackles (second most on the team) in Washington State's 34-24 loss to Arizona. He now has 24 tackles in four games, two less than his career-high in an entire season.

DL Jericho Johnson — California Golden Bears

The third Golden Bear to standout this weekend, Jericho Johnson had five tackles and a tackle for loss against Clemson. He's carved out a consistant role along the defensive line at California.

DE Blake Purchase — Ole Miss Rebels

Though the No. 4 Ole Miss Rebels lost to the No. 21 Florida Gators, Blake Purchase had a solid game in totaling five tackles and a tackle for loss.
