How to watch college football this weekend: Ohio State fights for the Illibuck, top-ranked Texas heads to Rocky Top

This week features six top-25 matchups as Ohio State and several other teams enter conference play.
No. 5 Indiana will host Northwestern in its Big Ten opener at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 on FOX.
Kicking off the early slot on Saturday, Sept. 26, the Buckeyes will host Illinois in Ohio State’s only trophy game, the Illibuck, at noon on FOX.
Ohio State and Illinois began the Illibuck tradition in 1925 with an actual turtle that was meant to symbolize the long life of the rivalry. However, the turtle passed away in 1926 and the teams have battled over a wooden version of the animal ever since.
In another high-profile matchup at noon on ABC, No. 1 Texas will travel to No. 14 Tennessee.
At 2 p.m. No. 3 Notre Dame will have an in-state clash with Purdue on Peacock.
In the 3:30 p.m. time slot CBS will have No. 17 Iowa at No. 18 Michigan. Miami (OH) will host UConn in a game available on ESPN+.
Kansas State and Cincinnati will kick off from Nippert Stadium at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
At 7:30 p.m. a pair of top 25 matchups will start with No. 20 Oregon at No. 12 USC on NBC and No. 23 Texas A&M at No. 10 LSU on ABC.
And anyone still awake can tune into some Big Ten after dark with Minnesota at Washington at 11 p.m. on FOX.
