Washington:

The Huskies are coming off a 27-24 upset loss to Minnesota last week in their first Big Ten matchup of the season.

QB Demond Williams Jr. completed 18-of-28 for 239 yards and had three touchdowns (2 passing, 1 rushing) and two interceptions.

Washington struggled on the ground, totaling just 40 rushing yards and allowing seven sacks.

“We’ve just got to figure out a way to get it going. Obviously, we have a whole lot of season left. … We have to turn this thing around.," Williams Jr. said after the loss.

"We got to play better. I've got to coach better. I've got to do a better job of getting the team ready," head coach Jedd Fisch said.

USC:

The Trojans (4-1) are coming off a 41-27 loss against Oregon last week. Defense continues to be a concern for the Trojans, who gave up 504 total yards in the loss. The Trojans have surrendered at least 30 points in each of their last three games.

While last week's loss was their first of the season, USC cannot afford another setback. Saturday's contest against Washington could be a make-or-break game for the Trojans' College Football Playoff hopes.

USC has yet to make the College Football Playoff since its inception in 2014.
