Friday marked opening day for the 2026 NCAA Transfer Portal window. LSU football has reportedly been in the running for several of the top players available, but the one everyone has their eyes on is former Auburn wide receiver Cam Coleman. Given LSU’s lack of talent and depth at the wide receiver position, adding a player with his talents could be something that could change the trajectory of the 2026 season in Baton Rouge.
According to On3’s Pete Nakos, LSU is not one of the programs in contention for the star receiver. That list instead includes Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, USC and Alabama.
It’s disappointing news for LSU, but the Tigers remain in close contention for several other top receivers. One is former Michigan State wide receiver Nick Marsh, a true sophomore who recorded 59 catches for 662 yards and six touchdowns in 2025.
This is a dime from Aidan Chiles on the deep TD to Nick Marsh. Great drive velocity and touch to fit it into the corner.
The TD is the highlight for Marsh, but what catches my attention is the twitch and quickness off the line for a 6'3", 203-pound WR. He's legit. pic.twitter.com/m2QMzkDBDx

The other is NC State receiver Terrell Anderson. Anderson broke out this season, hauling in 39 catches for 629 yards and five touchdowns in 2025. He was PFSN’s seventh-highest graded receiver in the ACC in 2025.
And he … is … GONE 💨
Anderson turns on the jets and takes it 75 yards to the house!

LSU also signed three four-star receivers as part of its 2026 recruiting class. LSU currently has a real depth issue at the position, but if they can put together a solid room through the portal — and hopefully get some help from one or two of those freshman pass-catchers — there’s hope it can become a strength next season.
