‘Kick This Guy Out for the Season’ — Calls Mount for USC to ‘Suspend Desman Stephens II Indefinitely’ for Taunting After Dirty Hit KOs Oregon’s Dante Moore

The USC-Oregon game in Week 4 was filled with drama and high emotions, and most of it stemmed from an illegal hit that forced Ducks quarterback Dante Moore to exit the game in the second quarter.
USC linebacker Desman Stephens II, who delivered the tackle that knocked Moore out, was immediately kicked out of the game for targeting and may face a looming suspension from the Big Ten.
Fans took to social media to express not only their concern for Moore this evening, but also to call for Stephens to be punished for the illegal hit and subsequent celebration.
College Football Fans Call for Desman Stephens II Suspension
Not only did Stephens knock Moore out of the game, but he was also seen taunting Ducks players and smiling in the aftermath of the controversial play.
“This is the dirtiest hit I’ve ever seen…kick this guy out for the season. Clearly Dante Moore is giving himself up,” posted former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel.
One former sportswriter tagged the Big Ten football account and said, “Do the right thing and suspend (Desman Stephens II) for the rest of the season. That’s the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen on a football field. Celebrating after the dirtiest hit you’ll ever see. Look at that smile. Disgusting.”
The USC Trojans Wire page also clamored for a suspension of their own USC player.

“Forget about any #B1G suspension for Desman Stephens. USC should not allow him to play for the Trojans again. He doesn’t seem to care. Not showing any contrition for that is *completely* unacceptable. No place in the program for that,” they wrote.
“This is the reaction after the dirty bit against Dante Moore Hope this kid never plays another snap in his career,” posted one Michigan State page.
“The Big Ten needs to step in here and suspend #8 for a significant amount of time beyond the rest of the game. To be celebrating and smiling after a dirty play that resulted in Dante Moore laying lifeless on the field is beyond disgusting,”exclaimed one user on X.
“One of the most disgusting hits on Dante Moore I’ve ever seen, followed by an even worse celebration/taunt. Suspend Desman Stephens II indefinitely,”wrote another user.

“Three different players came over and told him to stop. He just kept doing it anyway. With a clear shot of Dante Moore frozen on the ground, and the medical team around him. Discipline has to come from this. Multiple game suspension,” stated one Oregon Ducks fan.
It remains to be seen if Stephens will be suspended by USC or the Big Ten, but social media was clearly frustrated with the linebacker for the targeting hit and subsequent reaction.
