Kickoff Time and TV Info for Stanford-Wake Forest

Stanford football is getting ready for what will hopefully be a bounce-back game against Georgia Tech, aiming to get back into the win column after two straight losses. While the Cardinal prepare for that game, the kickoff time and TV channel for their matchup against Wake Forest on October 3 have been revealed, set for 9 a.m. PST on ACC Network.
Stanford and Wake Forest will meet for only the fourth time ever, with the Cardinal holding a 1-2 record all-time against the Demon Deacons. Stanford lost 24-17 in their first meeting in 2009 in Winston-Salem, though Andrew Luck threw two touchdowns.
The following season, Stanford got its revenge in a 68-24 victory, with Luck throwing four touchdown passes. That year, the Cardinal finished 12-1, won the Orange Bowl, and Luck won several accolades, ending the campaign as the top quarterback in the nation.
The last time the Cardinal faced Wake Forest was in 2024, when a 27-24 loss was one of many in a 3-9 campaign that ended up being Troy Taylor's final season as the head coach.
In that season's game, the Cardinal played the Demon Deacons at home and struggled to contain their offense, giving up over 170 rushing yards while allowing Wake Forest's quarterback to throw three touchdowns.
This year, the Cardinal are in the midst of a rebuild after ushering in a new era under Tavita Pritchard, but are eager to prove that they can make some noise this season. The last two games have been a struggle for Stanford, losing 45-6 to Miami and 35-7 to Duke, but the rest of the season will be about turning things around and building a foundation for future success.
After the Wake Forest game, Stanford stays on the road to face Notre Dame, a program with national title aspirations, followed by home games against Elon and NC State. The Notre Dame game kicks off at 12:30 p.m. PST while the Elon game kicks off at 4:30 p.m. PST.
Stanford and NC State have the Friday night cap, kicking off at 7:30 p.m. PST on October 23.
As for the rest of the schedule, those kickoff times and TV channels will be announced at a later date. The Cardinal play on the road three out of their last four games, with their biggest game in that span being the Big Game against Cal.
After beating Cal last season, Stanford is looking to retain the Axe and win the coveted prize in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2017-2018.
Other notable games during the final four weeks of Stanford's season include Louisville, Virginia Tech and SMU. Virginia Tech, finishing 3-9 last season, is already 3-0 this season under new head coach James Franklin and looks like a program ready to make a run at the ACC title.
As for SMU and Louisville, both programs are in the top 25 this year and have expectations to be in the mix to win the ACC as well, giving Stanford the opportunity to make two big statements toward the end of the campaign if they can continue making strides this season.
