The college football season is officially, fully underway after Week 1’s college football Saturday kickoff. The quest for the College Football Playoff has begun, and some of the sport’s richest traditions are back.
One of the most highly anticipated debuts was the ever-polarizing head coach Lane Kiffin with his new team, the LSU Tigers. However, Lane wasn’t the only Kiffin stealing the show on Saturday.
The daughter of LSU’s head coach, Landry Kiffin, took over social media with her LSU debut outfit. Her tiger-themed dress dominated the fashion conversation as the Tigers hosted Clemson in Death Valley.

It’s not every day a father and daughter can steal the show like this duo did on Saturday.
Kiffin LSU debut a major success
While daughter Landry Kiffin took over the fashion show off the field, head coach Lane Kiffin had a high-pressure debut on his hands. After weeks of controversy surrounding two transfer portal athletes, Kiffin’s LSU Tigers needed to silence the noise.
They did just that, to say the least. LSU suffocated Clemson in their Tiger Bowl matchup as the home-and-home series was swept by Baton Rouge’s Death Valley.
LSU defeated Clemson 51-10 and sent a major message to college football: Kiffin and the Tigers are for real. They were already a 10-point favorite entering the contest. However, no one expected the Tigers to completely whip Clemson in this fashion.

The result not only sparked questions around Clemson and head coach Dabo Swinney, but it also showed why LSU pursued Kiffin so strongly.
Playoffbound LSU?
LSU’s offense consistently found ways to move the football, while its defense made life miserable for Clemson throughout the night. A matchup that many expected to be competitive quickly turned into a statement win for Kiffin in his first game leading the Tigers.
For LSU, the victory provides an early boost in what could be a pivotal season. Kiffin arrived in Baton Rouge with massive expectations, and his debut could not have gone much better.
