Lane Kiffin Received 'Warning' About His Behavior With Sorority Girls

Lane Kiffin is rather infamous on social media and the college football internet for his behavior.
The LSU Tigers head coach has been spotted doing shirtless yoga with flexible coeds, having fun nights out at college bars and more. Fans have often joked that if one thing could cause Kiffin’s new downfall, it could be his behavior on college campuses. It’s mostly said in good fun, however, a new report makes it clear that it’s a bit more serious than that.
In fact, legendary Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban actually sent a “warning” about Kiffin’s behavior with sorority girls.
“You’ve got to keep Lane away from the girls that are in college,” Saban said according to one former coach, per John Talty.
Kiffin was a “frequent” dater, according to a report.
“For context, in January 2014, four months after USC fired him, Kiffin became Alabama’s offensive coordinator under Saban. The Vanity Fair article details that Kiffin, while still married, frequently went out and attempted to date women. Things devolved to a point, according to the article, that rumors flew across Tuscaloosa, even landing at the desk of Saban’s wife,” the report from Vanity Fair states.
“Kiffin’s wife and children never moved to Tuscaloosa during his Alabama tenure, a separation that predated the couple’s 2016 divorce. Tensions between the future LSU head coach and Saban grew. For example, Kiffin accepted the Florida Atlantic job while preparing for the biggest game of the year. Saban wasted no time, firing Kiffin and releasing him from his responsibilities when the new job became a distraction.”
College football fans not surprised
“I don’t see all of the hubbub about Lane. Wherever he goes there is controversy, no championships, and distractions. Great choice to go to LSU,” one fan wrote.
“I had friends at FAU while he was there. Allegedly he had his own area at one of the bars and college girls would be invited in for free drinks and everything. He’s gonna learn eventually right?” another fan added.
“As an Alabama sorority girl during the Kiffin era thank you for bringing this across my desk my friend,” one fan added.
Kiffin and LSU, meanwhile, are set to open the 2026 college football season on Saturday against Clemson.
