Two defensive backs were reportedly not seen at Texas football’s early fall camp practices, Sports Illustrated reports. Specifically, that includes two freshmen defensive players: cornerback Samari Matthews and safety Yaheim Riley. It’s unclear why either player was not in attendance as the 2026 season nearly officially gets underway. We’ll follow up if we get ahold of any additional information related to the players’ notable absences.
