According to a recent On3 report, College Football Playoff officials will meet one last time on Friday. Presumably up for debate on this occasion will be potential expansion of the CFP from its current 12 teams to 14, 16, or more.
Apparently, per recent reports, the Big Ten is pushing to expand the CFP to 24 teams.
As it stands, no other conference representative has expressed interest in a postseason consisting of more than 16 teams.
