The 22-year-old Virginia native is taking another major step after winning the Peacock dating series and gaining millions of new followers.

Trinity Tatum is taking another victory lap. Trinity Tatum signs with WME a little more than a week after she and Bryce Alakai Dettloff won Season 8 of Peacock’s “Love Island USA,” giving the 22-year-old breakout star major Hollywood representation as she begins life beyond the villa.

The signing was announced in an Instagram post that described WME as one of Hollywood’s leading talent agencies. The announcement highlighted clients including Lupita Nyong’o, Jason Momoa and BLACKPINK’s Lisa.

For viewers who met Tatum through the dating series, her rise has been swift. She is a model and makeup artist from Newport News, Virginia, and worked at Home Depot before joining the show. Tatum told People that she entered the villa with roughly 4,000 Instagram followers. By the time she returned home, that audience had grown to more than 3 million.

Tatum and Dettloff began the season as friends before their connection developed into a romance. Viewers ultimately selected them as the Season 8 winners during the July 12 finale, awarding the couple the show’s $100,000 prize.

The victory also carried a wider cultural significance. All four women in the final four couples were Black, a milestone Tatum celebrated during the finale. She said she hoped viewers would see that Black women could join the series, find love and enjoy the experience.

Before the season, Tatum appeared among the Black contestants entering the Fiji villa. Her win later placed her within the franchise’s growing legacy of Black winners.

Now, the new talent deal gives Tatum professional representation while interest in her next move is at its highest.
