LSU released its initial injury report for Wednesday night's game against Kentucky. There weren't any surprises as five Tigers were listed as out with no players showing up as questionable or doubtful.

Trey'Dez Green, Whit Weeks, DaShawn Spears, Phillip Wright III, and Charles Ross II were the five designated as out. Spears, Wright, and Ross are out for the season, while Green and Weeks are expected to miss all of October, with a chance to return in November.

Few SEC teams have dealt with the volume of significant injuries LSU has in 2026. Spears was a difference-maker at the STAR position — he's out for the year. Green and Weeks were All-SEC caliber players at their respective positions, and LSU will miss them for at least a month.

At linebacker, LSU will rely on Davhon Keys to fill in for Weeks. TJ Dottery will slide into Weeks' role and wear the green dot, with Keys taking on Dottery's position.

On offense, with Green out, LSU will rely on more four-receiver sets. When LSU needs a tight end on the field, Zach Grace will get most of the reps. LSU is also trying to get Roman Mothershed involved as a pass-catching tight end.
