Former LSU and Oklahoma receiver Nic Anderson has signed to transfer to Kentucky out of the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. The former four-star Sooners signee will have at least one more season of collegiate eligibility in Lexington, and could have two if he applies for a medical redshirt.
Anderson finished with 12 receptions for 106 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games, including three starts, last season for LSU. The 6-foot-4, 208-pound wideout has 50 career receptions for 904 yards and 12 total touchdowns in four seasons, much of which came during a breakout redshirt freshman season at Oklahoma. Then, Anderson hauled in a career-high 38 receptions for 798 yards and set the school record for a freshman with 10 touchdowns in 2023.
Anderson signed with the Sooners as a four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting cycle out of Katy, Texas. He was the No. 34-ranked receiver, No. 33 player out of Texas and the No. 200 recruit overall, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted algorithm that compiles all major recruiting media services.
Following his breakout 2023 season, Anderson missed the majority of the 2024 season with a nagging quad injury that limited him to just one start, but he didn’t record any stats that season. He also appeared in three games as a true freshman, but only managed a single five-yard carry that season.

Anderson is the 28th transfer and the fourth receiver to commit to the Wildcats and first-year head coach Will Stein since the two-week portal window opened Jan. 2nd, joining former Louisville WR Brock Coffman, former UAB WR Xavier Daisy, and former Arkansas WR Ja’Kayden Ferguson. They will get to work with four-star transfer quarterback Kenny Minchey, an ex-Notre Dame transfer who Stein targeted and ultimately flipped from a commitment to Nebraska on Jan. 5.
Mincey signed with Kentucky as the 11th-ranked quarterback in the 2026 transfer class and No. 64 player overall, according to the On3 Transfer Portal Player Rankings. And he’s not even the Wildcats’ highest-ranked transfer additions, behind four-star former Tennessee offensive tackle Lance Heard and four-star former Baylor interior offensive lineman Coleston Price, who were ranked the No. 21st and No. 30th transfers in the class.
