Many Penn State fans are rightfully upset with how the team looked against Wisconsin, dropping a game that it had no business losing. At the end of the day, unfortunately, Penn State really can't look back on this much anymore.

The game is over with, and all Penn State can hope for over the next couple of weeks is that things go much better according to plan.

As of now, it doesn't really feel like there's much confidence in the program to do that. Penn State will have to prove a lot to us over the next couple of weeks if it wants to earn our trust, and head coach Matt Campbell will have to answer.

In regard to fans already being a bit upset about everything that's gone on over the first four weeks of the season, Penn State's head coach had a lot to say about why he and his team should be trusted.

“I think the biggest thing that we believe is: A, we believe in our staff. B, we believe in our players. And C, I believe in a process. You evaluate your team at the end of the football season. Did you reach your full potential? Did you become who you had the ability to be? And every opportunity is a chance to grow. The great teams in college football have the ability to grow each week.

“And I think that will be a great test for this group this week, right?” Campbell continued, referencing the Northwestern game, per StateCollege.com. “Our opportunity to take what we learned last week and move and grow ourselves forward. I think the fact that everybody in this facility has absolute belief in who we are and where we got the ability to go, we’re excited to grow forward.”

This Friday night's game against Northwestern will give Penn State an excellent opportunity to bounce back.

However, even if Penn State comes away with a win, and it stinks to think like this, but it's the truth, most fans aren't exactly going to be too ecstatic about it because of the prior loss. At the same time, if Penn State can come out and take care of business against teams it's supposed to beat for the rest of the campaign, which it should, considering its schedule, everything is still in front of them.

I know fans don't want to hear that, but Penn State has a lot to look forward to if it can just be better than it has to start the season.

If this is who Penn State is, that's a much different story.
