Mizzou has now taken two defensive players from Auburn in this portal window.
Missouri football landed a commitment from Auburn defensive back Kensley Louidor-Faustin on Wednesday, he posted to his Instagram account. The news was first reported by On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Louidor-Faustin, who spent two seasons with Auburn, played primarily as a slot corner for the Tigers on the Plains. He will likely be a candidate to play Mizzou’s ‘Star’ safety position, where Daylan Carnell started for the past three years.
The defensive back is the seventh total player to commit to Missouri since the portal opened Jan. 2. He is also the second player from the Auburn defense to make the move to Columbia this offseason, following All-SEC linebacker Robert Woodyard Jr.
Louidor-Faustin started three games, appearing in 11 total contests, for AU this past season. He recorded two pass breakups, an interception and 16 total tackles, including one sack.
The safety was a four-star commitment in the Class of 2024 out of Naples, Florida. He played at Naples High and was listed at 5-foot-11, 177 pounds.
He appeared frequently in both seasons he spent at Auburn, meaning he has not used a redshirt and has two years of eligibility remaining. His most action as a true freshman came against Mizzou in 2024 — the Brady Cook hospital game — and he allowed zero receptions on three targets.
Louidor-Faustin was a special teams contributor over two seasons in Auburn, too.
Mizzou has been active in retooling its secondary so far this transfer portal, which was a major need for Eli Drinkwitz’s Tigers.
Starting safety Marvin Burks Jr. was one of the more surprising portal entrants for MU after playing more defensive snaps than any other player on the roster last season. Mizzou is also losing Carnell and Jalen Catalon to eligibility at the safety position.
MU can return Santana Banner, Trajen Greco and Mose Phillips III as safeties who played significant reps in 2025.
Missouri added freshman Notre Dame safety JaDon Blair on Tuesday, which appears to be more of a project. He will join returning Mizzou freshmen CJ Bass III and Jackson Hancock as players competing for reps in the secondary next season.
MU’s entire 2025 cornerback rotation is graduating this offseason. The team’s first portal addition was Oregon CB Jahlil Florence, and it is expected to sign at least one more before it finishes portal shopping.
That means three of MU’s seven transfer signings so far are defensive backs.
Mizzou has also added Ole Miss quarterback Austin Simmons, Cincinnati wide receiver Caleb Goodie and Houston Christian running back Xai’Shaun Edwards.
