It’s Monday, and the start of fall camp is in sight! Take a look at all our content coming out this week. As always, check out our original coverage and what we can find on the World Wide Web below.

Athlon 2026 Conference Rankings

Athlon ranks the 10 FBS conferences ahead of the 2026 football season, and we highlight two of them. The Mountain West checks in at #7, mentioning that San Jose State is now the only current member that has won a football championship. They like UNLV this year and think New Mexico and Hawaii will be good as well, with Air Force and NDSU as dark horses. Then, the new Pac-12 is fifth, based on Boise State, Fresno State, and SDSU all “ready to win” and “no obvious bottom-feeder”, according to this post.

Colorado State Preview

In your weekly College Football News preview, Jim Mora hopes to turn Colorado State around following seven losing seasons in the last eight years. He will install his UConn offense, which has shown it can work and keep the team in many games. The offensive line will be a strength, and there are a few WRs who should produce solid numbers, but they lack star power at QB and RB and will need to find ways to get consistent first downs. Over on defense, the linebackers will be a strength, and there are intriguing additions on the D-line and secondary. But they will need to establish pass-rushers and need more consistency with big plays. They are betting on Mora and think the Rams will make a bowl game at 6-6.

Teresa Gould, Pac-12 survive, now celebrate

Friend of the site  KC Smurthwaite had an interview with Pac-12 commissioner Teresa Gould, where she discussed many topics. She discusses learning to celebrate milestones in between the constant grind of work, and how change and inconsistency are common in this field. She credits relationships (and picking the right people) as one of the keys to the Pac-12’s survival, despite having to lay off around 150 conference employees at the time. Above all, Gould credits having the courage to be herself, not doing something just because everyone else is, as guiding her leadership style.
