It’s Monday, and we are one week away from Mountain West Media Days! That being said, football preview posts are ramping up. As always, our coverage is still going strong. Check out our original coverage and what we can find from the World Wide Web below.

Athlon All-Pac-12 Team

Athlon continues their conference rankings and after featuring the MW earlier in the week, this one is about the Pac. It’s worth skimming through the four teams to find players of note, but Boise State led the way with 20 selections overall. The Broncos also had 9 on the first-team. Washington State (18) and Fresno State (16) had the next highest totals.

Nevada Preview

College Football Network turns to the Wolf Pack for this preview post, which held on to some key players from last season. The offense found some success with their running backs last year, but didn’t score enough points. They have an influx of transfers at QB and WR, and need more from their offensive line if they want to develop a downfield passing attack. As for the defense, the strength is in the trenches, the pass rush, and the linebackers should be pretty good too. On the other hand, the secondary isn’t returning much, and they’ll need to find a way to generate more turnovers. CFN predicts that Nevada will end up with five wins for the season, which would be an improvement.

Mountain West/Pac-12 Stadium Capacities

Now that the two conferences are officially up and running, Chris Murray looks at all the stadiums for teams in the Mountain West and compares them to the Pac-12. For the MW, UNLV obviously plays in the largest stadium, with a capacity of 65,000. The smallest is Hawaii’s Ching Athletics Complex at 15,194, and for those who say that’s a makeshift stadium, it’s barely smaller than SJSU or NDSU, which are at 18,203 and 18,700, respectively. The conference has an average of 32,497, which is slightly lower than the Pac average of 34,439. However, the Pac-12 has a smaller range, going from Colorado State (41,000) to Utah State (25,513).
