Michigan State football has locked in an official visit with an underrated edge rusher from Georgia.

Dallas Ward of Peachtree City, Ga. has reportedly scheduled an official visit to Michigan State for mid-June. According to Corey Robinson of 247Sports, Ward will visit Michigan State on June 12.

Ward is currently listed at 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, and plays for McIntosh. He is currently unranked and unrated in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports.

Michigan State is one of nearly 25 schools to offer Ward, with the Spartans extending him an offer last month. He also holds notable offers from Rutgers, Cincinnati, USF, Army, Navy, James Madison, Tulane and Western Kentucky.

Rutgers appears to be the Spartans' toughest competition in this recruiting battle, with Ward also scheduled to visit the Scarlet Knights in a few weeks. It'll be interesting to see how the next month plays out and if Michigan State can beat out a fellow Big Ten rival for Ward's commitment.
