Michigan State football could reportedly be adding another key transfer portal player to its 2026 roster.

Chris Hummer of 247Sports reported on Monday that Michigan State is set to host Canadian defensive tackle Franklin Ibelo on Wednesday. Ibelo is a 6-foot-7 and 340-pound defensive tackle that is "generating significant power conference interest" via the transfer portal.

Ibelo played at the University of Calgary, where he recorded 30 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Adding depth to the defensive line would be a massive win for the Spartans this late in the transfer portal cycle. Ibelo would instantly bolster the Spartans rush defense and would be expected to be a contributor in his lone year at Michigan State.
