National Signing Day: Live updates on nation’s 2026 top recruits

The biggest day on the recruiting calendar has arrived for the 2026 class: National Signing Day.

Prospects across the country will sign with the programs of their choice, with many set to enroll early for the spring semester. But there’s still plenty of excitement to come with commitments, flips and more unexpected news in the coming days.

Rivals is providing wall-to-wall coverage with live updates, news, notes and the latest intel from our team of national and school-specific recruiting experts. Track the movement on the class rankings throughout the day on the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings page. 5-star RB Savion Hiter clears the air

12/03/2025 09:08:00 PM

Five-star running back Savion Hiter, who has been committed to Michigan since August, will sign with the Wolverines tomorrow, according to TheWolverine.com’s EJ Holland.

Holland confirmed the news with Hiter’s family.

Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong reported earlier today that there were “minor contractual details” still being worked through between Hiter and Michigan.

Numerous blue-chippers still unsigned

12/03/2025 06:35:49 PM

In what’s maybe a sign of the NIL and revenue-sharing contract era, there are a host of top prospects who still haven’t been announced by the schools they’re committed to. That includes multiple 5-stars and top-100 recruits. Some appear to be a formality, while others are still taking their time to decide between their options.

For the full list of unsigned prospects, click here.

Tennessee flips blue-chip DL commit from rival Alabama

12/03/2025 06:28:58 PM

Tennessee’s big signing day continued into the evening as the Vols flipped four-star defensive lineman JJ Finch from rival Alabama. It was another key addition for the Vols, who also landed four-star defensive lineman Jordan Carter and four-star athlete Legend Bey earlier in the day.

Finch is coming off a monster senior season, racking up 86 tackles including 24.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks and 17 quarterback hurries.

Michigan making late push for Georgia WR commit

12/03/2025 05:50:42 PM

Michigan has had an adventurous day with its wide receiver commits. Four-star Zion Robinson announced this morning he was delaying his signing, and Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman reports that Texas is pushing hard to flip him. Fellow four-star Travis Johnson wavered a bit while considering Virginia Tech, but later signed with the Wolverines.

And now they’re looking to make a move of their own. According to Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong, Michigan is in the mix for Georgia four-star receiver commit Brady Marchese, who is scheduled to sign tomorrow. The Wolverines were a strong contender before he initially committed to UGA and are hoping to circle back for a big late win.

Breaking down the race for No. 1

12/03/2025 05:30:31 PM

USC remains No. 1 on the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and has a chance to go wire-to-wire as the top-ranked class in the country. However, Oregon and Notre Dame could supplant the Trojans for the top spot in the coming weeks.

If Oregon is able to flip 5-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. from Ohio State, they would close the gap to a razor thin margin on USC. The ranking would be so close that the final Rivals300, Top247 and ESPN300 rankings released in January would determine who finishes with the No. 1 class in 2026.

5-star RB Savion Hiter yet to sign with Michigan

12/03/2025 05:27:34 PM

Savion Hiter, the nation’s No. 1 running back, has been committed to the Wolverines since August. And he hasn’t shown any signs of wavering, though his paperwork still hasn’t been signed and sent back to Michigan. Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong reports that there are “minor contractual details” still being worked through, and the goal is for Hiter to sign Thursday morning.

Florida State signs talented EDGE Cam Brooks

12/03/2025 05:23:11 PM

Mike Norvell and the Seminoles got a solid late addition, grabbing three-star EDGE Cam Brooks — a former Cal commit. Even after a pretty dismal year on the field, the Seminoles have largely held their recruiting class together, sitting inside the top-15 as the first day of the signing period comes to a close.

Texas trying to make a late run at Chris Henry Jr.

12/03/2025 05:20:21 PM

According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Texas is looking to get into the Chris Henry Jr. sweepstakes after the five-star wideout didn’t sign with Ohio State this morning. Oregon is thought to be the strongest contender to flip him, but the Longhorns have come in with a “significant” financial offer.

Here’s the latest from Nakos and Steve Wiltfong.

Ryder Lyons makes it official with BYU

12/03/2025 05:18:16 PM

BYU has its quarterback of the future after locking head coach Kalani Sitake to a long-term deal. Ryder Lyons, the nation’s No. 7 QB in the 2026 class, has officially signed with the Cougars as one of their highest-rated recruits ever.

Tennessee climbs into top-5 after landing 4-star EDGE

12/03/2025 04:00:15 PM

Few teams have been bigger winner on Signing Day — and this week in general — than Josh Heupel and Tennessee. The Vols flipped four-star playmaker Legend Bey back from Ohio State, then added four-star defensive lineman Jordan Carter as well.

With those two in the fold, they jump over Ohio State and Alabama for the No. 5 spot in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

LSU inks four-star cornerback Havon Finney

12/03/2025 03:53:26 PM

After some scuttlebutt about whether he’d sign with LSU — and then delaying his signing until Friday — four-star defensive back Havon Finney has inked with the Tigers. It’s another big early win for Lane Kiffin and his new staff in Baton Rouge.

Ryder Lyons set to sign on Wednesday after all

12/03/2025 03:45:51 PM

Earlier in the day, Rivals’ Adam Gorney reported that BYU four-star quarterback commit Ryder Lyons was delaying his signing. But he will sign after all, he posted on Twitter. The Cougars are still expected to be his destination.

Auburn flips brother Chris and Corey Wells on Signing Day

12/03/2025 03:15:59 PM

Alex Golesh didn’t inherit a particularly strong recruiting class from Hugh Freeze, but the new coaching staff at Auburn has worked feverishly to add prospects in the past few days.

They got their biggest flip yet by poaching four-star defensive lineman Corey Wells away from Texas, which also netted his brother Chris Wells. The Tigers biggest remaining goal is keeping five-star wideout Jase Mathews in the fold as he waits to sign later this week.

Michigan trending to hold on to coveted blue-chip WR

12/03/2025 02:17:24 PM

Despite a significant push from Virginia Tech, Michigan is trending keep four-star wideout Travis Johnson in its class. The Wolverines already got news this morning that blue-chip wideout Zion Robinson was delaying his signing, so keeping Johnson would be big.

More from Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong here.

5-star WR Chris Henry Jr. still undecided

12/03/2025 02:03:08 PM

After choosing not to sign this morning with Ohio State, five-star wideout Chris Henry Jr. posted this on his Twitter account.

Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong has the latest intel on where things stand.

Georgia gets a late addition with safety Blake Stewart

12/03/2025 01:34:39 PM

While it certainly won’t take away the sting of losing Jared Curtis, Georgia added a couple of key pieces on Wednesday with four-star offensive tackle Tyreek Jemison and high three-star safety Blake Stewart, who announced this afternoon.

The ‘Dawgs are still poised to finish with a top-5 class.

Virginia Tech poaches another Penn State commit

12/03/2025 01:17:07 PM

James Franklin continued his recruiting roll into the afternoon, flipping three-star Penn State commit Amauri Polydor from the Nittany Lions. He becomes the 11th former Penn State pledge to join up with the Hokies, leaving PSU with just two signees in their 2026 class.

LSU 4-star DL commit Deuce Geralds needs more time

12/03/2025 01:09:51 PM

Four-star defensive lineman and LSU commit Deuce Geralds is postponing his signing until Friday, as other schools are making a late push to flip him.

He sent the below statement to Rivals’ Adam Gorney:

“I was planning to sign this morning but after speaking with my family, I decided to give myself a couple more days to get to know the new staff. I am still committed LSU and plan to make a final decision and signed by end of day Friday. Geaux Tigers”

Penn State gets much-needed good news

12/03/2025 12:42:45 PM

On a day where its recruiting class only had two commitments and ex-head coach James Franklin led Virginia Tech from outside the top 100 of the recruiting rankings to inside the top-25, not much was going right for Penn State.

But the Nittany Lions got some good news Wednesday afternoon, signing four-star quarterback Peyton Falzone. A one-time Virginia Tech and PSU commit, he flipped to Auburn in June in a shocking turn of events. But after the coaching changes on The Plains, he decommitted earlier this week and will now wind up back in Happy Valley after all.

Pair off ACC programs working on big late flips

12/03/2025 12:31:49 PM

While most of the excitement has trickled down programs across the country as we hit the afternoon, two ACC programs are working furiously on some big-time targets committed to SEC and Big 10 schools.

According to Rivals’ Chad Simmons, Georgia Tech is making a late run at LSU four-star defensive line commit Deuce Geralds. With uncertainty around the Tigers’ defensive staff and some renewed NIL efforts from the Yellow Jackets, they’re pushing to get him in their class. Geralds’ father was coached by interim LSU coach Frank Wilson in high school, and that relationship could play a big factor in where Deuce ends up.

Up in Virginia, James Franklin and his staff aren’t done yet. Buoyed by a ton of momentum and a newly cemented top-25 class, the Hokies are trying to poach four-star wide receiver Travis Johnson from Michigan.

Johnson is a Virginia native, and according to Simmons and Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong, he is going back and forth between the two schools.

Prized CB Havon Finney delays signing with LSU

12/03/2025 12:18:02 PM

Sierra Canyon (Calif.) four-star cornerback Havon Finney has been one of the LSU’s longest-tenured commits, but with the uncertainty around the Tigers’ defensive coaching staff, he is delaying his signing until there’s more clarity.

Finney is deeply connected to DBs coach Corey Raymond, and it’s still uncertain if he will return.

More here from Rivals’ Greg Biggins.

Virginia Tech continues remarkable turnaround

12/03/2025 11:43:28 AM

When James Franklin took over at Virginia Tech last month, the Hokies’ recruiting class ranked No. 121 nationally after a number of defections following Brent Key’s firing. He and his makeshift staff quickly went to work though, and were reportedly even in contact with Penn State commits while he was in the process of interviewing for the job.

In the three weeks since news broke of his hiring, Franklin has landed 15 commitments and taken the Hokies’ class all the way up to No. 25 in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

The class includes 10 players who were previously committed to Franklin at Penn State. The Nittany Lions, meanwhile, have yet to hire a replacement and have just two commitments left in their class on National Signing Day.

Elite QB Ryder Lyons delays signing

12/03/2025 11:33:33 AM

Another elite prospect on the West Coast is waiting to sign, it appears. According to Rivals’ Adam Gorney, BYU 4-star QB commit Ryder Lyons will not sign on Wednesday.

Lyons, the nation’s No. 5 quarterback, has been committed to the Cougars since June. He plans to take an LDS mission trip after graduating this month and doesn’t have to sign during the Early Signing Period.

Latest update on 5-star WR Chris Henry Jr.

12/03/2025 11:06:45 AM

Five-star Ohio State wide receiver commit Chris Henry Jr. has yet to officially sign with the Buckeyes, according to Rivals’ Greg Biggins and On3’s Pete Nakos.

Despite reports that he is officially part of the Buckeyes’ class, Henry Jr. has not actually submitted any documents binding him to the Buckeyes.

Read here for more.

New program surging late for 4-star RB Carsyn Baker

12/03/2025 10:52:00 AM

Four-star running back Carsyn Baker has been a longtime Florida commit, but he has looked at a number of other programs since Billy Napier and his staff were fired. South Carolina and North Carolina have been the two biggest threats to flip him.

But Chad Simmons reports that it’s another SEC school who is making a big move late.

Elite WR Calvin Russell delays signing with Syracuse

12/03/2025 10:45:45 AM

Syracuse wide receiver commit Calvin Russell (No. 7 WR in the Rivals Industry Ranking) announced at his signing ceremony on Wednesday that he is delaying his signing with Syracuse, Rivals’ Marcus Benjamin reports.

“With the decision being made, it’s hard. For three to four days, I’ve been thinking and I won’t be signing today,” Russell said.

He nearly committed to Michigan this summer and has been in attendance for multiple games at Miami — his hometown school — this fall.

Late 5-star drama?

12/03/2025 09:56:11 AM

UPDATE: The master of ceremonies at Henry’s signing ceremony announced that he was signing with Ohio State, but the Buckeyes have yet to officially announce him as part of their class. And per On3’s Pete Nakos, an NLI still hasn’t been received. Wide receivers coach Brian Hartline, a key factor in Henry’s recruitment, accepted the head coaching job at USF this morning, according to reports.

Signing Day is always good for some last-minute drama, and we might have some on our hands. On3’s Pete Nakos reports that Ohio State doesn’t currently have a National Letter of Intent in hand for Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Chris Henry Jr.

That doesn’t mean he won’t sign with the Buckeyes, but Oregon and USC have both made a late push to flip him before he announces this morning at Mater Dei High School.

On the Bayou, LSU is hoping for good news as five-star defensive line commit Richard Anderson is now expected to sign with the Tigers, according to Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman.

Five-Star Plus+ QB Jared Curtis makes it official with Vandy

12/03/2025 09:30:21 AM

If there was any doubt left about where the nation’s No. 1 QB would actually sign with Vanderbilt, it can be put to rest. Jared Curtis officially inked with the Commodores on Wednesday morning in a private ceremony at his school.

He is the highest-ranked signee in school history and a massive recruiting win for Clark Lea and the Vanderbilt staff.

Coveted 4-star QB Landon Duckworth yet to sign

12/03/2025 09:16:31 AM

There has been very little drama around the top quarterbacks in this class — at least today. Five-Star Plus+ QB Jared Curtis flipped to Vanderbilt on Tuesday, but otherwise, everything has mostly gone according to plan.

But a new wrinkle could make things interesting. Longtime South Carolina commit Landon Duckworth has yet to officially sign with the Gamecocks. He told Rivals’ Chad Simmons last night he was locked in, but he has yet to be announcing as part of the signing class in Columbia.

And as Steve Wiltfong said just a little bit ago on our live show, the signature was expected this morning. LSU has made a late push since Lane Kiffin took over, and this will be one to watch today and potentially the rest of the week.

Illinois flips Alabama RB commit Javari Barnett

12/03/2025 09:09:08 AM

In another National Signing Day surprise, Illinois has flipped Alabama three-star running back commit Javari Barnett.

He had been committed to the Crimson Tide since June, but the Illini had been one of his top schools all along. After missing much of his junior year with a knee injury, he bounced back this fall to rush 74 times for 497 yards and five touchdowns.

Washington looking to add another big-time WR

12/03/2025 08:48:39 AM

From Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman:

The Huskies flipped Rivals Industry Ranking 4-star WR Jordan Clay away from Baylor on Signing Day Eve.

They also took a massive step forward with another 4-star target.

Rivals300 WR Trez Davis and his family took an official visit to Seattle last month and the Huskies have not stopped swinging away at the touted pass-catcher from Louisiana. Me and colleague Steve Wiltfong have moved our prediction to the Huskies.

“I love Washington,” Davis told Rivals after logging his official visit, which inserted the Huskies right into the thick of the race for the former Tulane commit. “The coaching staff was amazing and the atmosphere caught my attention. I could see myself playing there.”

Kevin Cummings and the Huskies’ coaching staff made a lasting impression on Davis and his entire family with a strong emphasis on the program’s rich tradition of NFL draft picks and development at his position. Sources informed on this recruitment told Rivals that his family’s visit to Seattle ranked as their favorite official visit.

The Huskies have been very motivated to add the Rivals300 prospect from powerhouse West Monroe (La.) High School ever since. They’re trending to do that ahead of a Wednesday AM announcement.

Optimism growing at Auburn around two late additions

12/03/2025 08:44:49 AM

Rivals’ Chad Simmons has the latest on four-star Texas defensive line commit Corey Wells, a top flip target for Auburn.

“There’s optimism at Auburn that they can flip Corey Wells from Texas. Of course, for both schools, his brother, Chris Wells, is part of the package. Auburn may be willing to spend a little more on the pair than Texas I am told this morning. The situation is still very fluid.”

Michigan battling to hold onto elite EDGE Julian Walker

12/03/2025 08:28:02 AM

Columbia (S.C) four-star EDGE Julian Walker has been a major rankings riser this fall, checking in as a borderline five-star prospect in the latest Rivals update last month. He has been a longtime Michigan commit, but has very strong ties to South Carolina. In addition to being from Columbia, his dad is on staff with the Gamecocks.

And they are making a big late run at flipping him. Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong has the latest intel as the tug-of-war continues.

Vanderbilt, Purdue looking to pull off late flips

12/03/2025 08:16:45 AM

After arguably its biggest recruiting win in program history on Tuesday — flipping Five-Star Plus+ QB Jared Curtis from Georgia — Vanderbilt is looking for more. Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong has moved his prediction for three-star wide receiver Owen Cabell from Alabama, where he’s committed, to the Commodores.

Purdue, meanwhile, is looking for a big late addition of its own. Four-star safety Jett Goldsberry is a Boilermakers legacy and has been a top flop target. With the coaching staff shakeup at Ole Miss, he is now trending toward Purdue.

Both Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong and Greg Smith has logged predictions for the Boilermakers to win out.

Florida trending to hold on to key commit

12/03/2025 08:13:22 AM

The situation around Florida and four-star EDGE commit KJ Ford has been touch-and-go since head coach Billy Napier was fired. A number of other schools have pushed to flip him, most notably USC and Texas A&M. As late as yesterday, the buzz was around the Aggies.

But according to Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong, things are trending in the direction of Ford sticking with the Gators new staff under Jon Sumrall and signing with UF.

Michigan 4-star WR commit Zion Robinson delays signing

12/03/2025 08:05:40 AM

For the most part, all has gone according to plan on Wednesday for Michigan. But four-star wide receiver Zion Robinson posted on social media that he is delaying his signing until further notice.

Robinson has been committed to the Wolverines since June, but this will be one to watch in the coming days.

Lane Kiffin gets a big addition at LSU, looking for more

12/03/2025 07:59:59 AM

The recruiting world has been abuzz since Lane Kiffin left Ole Miss for LSU. The new Tigers’ staff has been working to fill out its class in the final days before NSD, and they landed a big addition Wednesday in four-star wide receiver Corey Barber.

Barber decommitted from Ole Miss Sunday and now reunites with Kiffin in Baton Rouge. Rivals’ Chad Simmons has the details.

The Tigers are hoping to get a pair of five-star commits signed as well, and Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman updates with the latest on that.

“The agents for 5-star DL Lamar Brown and Richard Anderson met with members of the LSU staff, including Lane Kiffin, Billy Glasscock and Blake Baker for close to four hours on Tuesday night. In the aftermath of those conversations, the arrow was tilted up for Anderson to potentially sign with LSU. A final decision will be made this morning. Brown’s representation is set to meet with LSU again on Wednesday morning. There is a very good likelihood both are signed before the end of this week.” — Spiegelman

Schools still pushing to flip 5-star WR Chris Henry Jr.

12/03/2025 07:28:21 AM

Five-star wideout Chris Henry Jr. has been in Ohio State’s class for more than two years, dating back to the summer of 2023. Multiple programs have tried — unsuccessfully — to move him off that pledge. And that won’t end until ink hits paper. West Virginia, USC and Oregon have been the schools connected most to Henry in the final weeks.

Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong has the latest on Henry.

Multiple 5-stars already signed

12/03/2025 06:50:21 AM

While there are a few elite prospects with some drama still surrounding their recruitments, a handful of have eliminated any questions by getting their signing documents in early. Among them:

OT Ekene Ogboko – Georgia
CB Jay Timmons – Ohio State
EDGE Carter Meadows – Michigan
QB Dia Bell – Texas
SAF Joey O’Brien – Notre Dame
OT Grayson McKeogh – Notre Dame
EDGE LaDamion Guyton – Texas Tech

Latest intel on LSU 5-star commitments

12/03/2025 06:38:26 AM

Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman provides the latest update on Lamar Brown and Richard Anderson, a pair of LSU commits who have wavered about whether they will sign this week.

Ole Miss enters the mix for 4-star Gators commit

12/02/2025 11:15:13 PM

Multiple programs, namely Georgia Tech and most recently LSU, have been working to flip Milton (Fla.) safety Kaiden Hall from Florida in recent weeks but a late entrant to the race may be the biggest threat to the Gators.

A source close to Hall’s recruitment told On3’s Pete Nakos that the Ole Miss Rebels have made up ground in Hall’s recruitment this week and are a real threat to move him off of his Florida pledge.
This situation may not be resolved on National Signing Day as Wyatt plans to sign his paperwork on Friday, which is his birthday.

Tennessee fends off late LSU push for 4-star DB

12/02/2025 11:09:11 PM

Four-star safety Joel Wyatt has been committed to Tennessee since July, but LSU and new head coach Lane Kiffin had been in heavy pursuit this week working toward a flip. Those efforts appear to have been in vain.

A source close to Wyatt’s recruitment told Rivals’ Chad Simmons that Wyatt will stick with his commitment and sign with the Vols on National Signing day.

Wyatt ranks No. 73 overall and No. 6 at his position in the Rivals Industry Rankings.
