USA TODAY Sports released its week two NCAA Re-Rank 1-138 on Monday. Nebraska moved up for the second week in a row, now sitting at No. 37.
The Huskers jumped three spots from last week, and six from the start of the season, following a 2-0 start and a wild weekend of play. Now only three opponents on Nebraska's schedule sit in the top 25: No. 4 Indiana, No. 6 Ohio State and No. 23 Iowa. Washington (No. 29) and Oregon (No. 30) both dropped out of the top 25. The Huskies held out against Utah State 16-14. The Ducks suffered a 39-31 upset loss at Oklahoma State.
Illinois also drifted down in the rankings, going from No. 41 to No. 46 after a 31-27 loss to Duke. USC (No. 8), Penn State (No. 16) and Michigan (No. 18) are other Big Ten teams ranked ahead of the Huskers. Texas now stands at No. 1 after taking down Ohio State, jumping over Notre Dame (No. 2) to grab the spot.
Nebraska concludes its non-conference stretch on Saturday night against North Dakota. Kickoff is set for 6:15 p.m. CT on BTN.
