It was a great few days for Notre Dame football in its recruitment of a California 2027 5-star prospect.
Marcus Fakatou, a 6-foot, 6-inch and 275-pound defensive lineman announced over the weekend that he will not be visiting hated rival USC according to Ryan Dyrud. Then on Monday, to add insult to injury to the Trojans, he left them off his top-5 list but kept the Irish on along with Ohio State, Texas, Oregon and Georgia.
It goes to show you the current recruiting power that Notre Dame has, as the other finalist are some of the top teams in the country. The Irish are in a great position to land the nation’s No. 32 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite.
Fakatou will make official visits to all five of his finalist, and hopefully his trip to South Bend seals the deal for him.
