The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will lose out on offensive tackle prospect Layton von Brandt. He's announced that he's committed to Auburn.
The 6'6", 290-pound von Brandt is from Middletown, DE. Notre Dame, Florida and Penn State were his other choices outside Auburn.
Rivals.com put him as a Top 5 tackle in its 2027 Rivals Industry Rankings.
Missing out on von Brandt is a blow for a team that prides itself on building stout offensive lines.
