Notre Dame places four football recruits on major power ranking

Notre Dame Fighting Irish football has four players that Rivals.com has listed as five-star recruits.

They are part of the 2027 Power300 rankings from Rivals, and the players are defensive lineman David Folorunsho at ninth, interior offensive lineman Albert Simien at 10th, edge rusher Abraham Sesay at 16th and offensive tackle Olu Olubobola.

Having four players in the top 23 is pretty impressive — and you'll notice that all are on the offensive line and defensive line. That indicates that Notre Dame is working on building strength in the trenches with the idea of using strong lines as a base and then filling in skill players around them. That's a tried-and-true recipe for football success.
