Notre Dame QB CJ Carr's brother Tommy gets a key role at Michigan

Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr's brother is going to be the backup quarterback for one of the Fighting Irish's historic rivals.

Tommy Carr will be the QB2 for the University of Michigan Wolverines, according to head coach Kyle Whittingham.

Former Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr is the brothers' grandfather, and CJ made quite a stir by choosing to play in South Bend.

It's too bad that the Notre Dame-Michigan rivalry is on an indefinite hiatus — it would be pretty cool to have a brother-versus-brother game, even if one is, at least for now, the backup coming off the bench.
