Ohio State vs. Iowa game time and channel has been announced

It's time to mark your calendars. Ohio State will be traveling to Iowa City to take on the Hawkeyes on October 3, and we now have a time and channel. It was announced earlier today that CBS will be broadcasting the game, with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. ET. It's setting up to be a big one, as Iowa is currently undefeated and ranked No. 17 in the US LBM Coaches Poll.

This will mark the first time that the Buckeyes have traveled to Kinnick for a football game in nine years… and it isn't a good memory. The Hawkeyes upset Urban Meyer and Ohio State in blowout fashion by a score of 55-24. It was an offensive explosion for a team that generally had problems scoring. The UI Stead Family Children's Hospital opened earlier that season, standing right outside of Kinnick Stadium. A new tradition formed that year that saw children gather on the top floors and wave to players and fans at the end of the first quarter. It is an emotional boost for the team and has become one of the best and most recognizable traditions in all of college football.

OSU will take on Illinois this week, while the Hawkeyes will travel to Ann Arbor to face Michigan. Both teams will look to notch another win before facing off a week later.
