Dayton Raiola, a former Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback commit from Buford High School in Georgia, announced his college decision on Wednesday’s National Signing Day.
Raiola officially committed to the Oregon Ducks, choosing to reunite with his brother Dylan Raiola in Eugene. Dylan, Dayton’s older brother, transferred to Oregon in January after two seasons at Nebraska.
Dayton, meanwhile, decommitted from Nebraska mid-November, reopening his recruiting process while Dylan was still the quarterback of the Cornhuskers.
At the time, Donovan Raiola, Datyon and Dylan’s uncle, was still employed at Nebraska before his firing was announced in early December.
“Staying with Dylan was a very big part of my decision,” Raiola said. “He’s like my best friend. We grew up doing everything together. We push each other every day and hold each other accountable.”
Oregon is expected to convert Dayton Raiola from quarterback to tight end, per On3, in a shift he has embraced with optimism.
“It’s something Oregon brought up, and I actually liked the idea right away,” Raiola said. “I played my first game at tight end in the Polynesian Bowl against some of the best competition in the world, and I didn’t do too bad.”

His uncle’s firing, coupled with Dylan’s transfer to Oregon, led to speculation that Dayton would follow. That turned into a reality on Wednesday.
“Oregon is a very high-level, elite program,” Raiola said. “There’s definitely a high standard there.”
The Ducks’ 2026 class is ranked No. 2 in the 247Sports Composite leaderboard, with Raiola joining a group that features three five-star recruits in interior offensive lineman Immanuel Iheanacho, safety Jett Washington, and edge rusher Anthony Jones.
