The Penn State Nittany Lions have clearly thrown all their chips at the 2027 recruiting class, resulting in a top 5 class nationally. However, even with official visits coming up, there is still a chance to get ahead in terms of looking at 2028 recruits. As evidenced by the Under Armour camp ion Baltimore, Penn State could have their eyes on two big edge rushing talents.

Five star prospect Tyzon Swann and four star prospect Nick Stevens have both been intrigued by Penn State and will be looking to visit the school in the near future. For the time being, they continue to impress scouts at every opportunity they get. Swann is currently the No. 2 D-lineman in the entire class according to Rivals and could be the apple of Matt Campbell's eye as one of his first ever five star commits with the program. At 6-4, 245 pounds, he has the size that could help Penn State dominate the trenches for years. There should be no doubt in Campbell's mind who his top '28 priority is.

Stevens on the other hand could be more developmental, but has a nice size profile that the Nittany Lions can work with. While he is not as scheme versatile as Swann, at 6-2, 280, he has the potential to bulk up in the interior of Penn State's D-line.

Should Matt Campbell be able to get his hands on both of these prospects, Penn State's defense could get back to the fearsomeness levels of when Dani Dennis-Sutton and Zane Durant still commanded the Big Ten's respect. Swann and Stevens could be the next great DT/DE duo to come out of Happy Valley.
