One of Florida‘s biggest recruiting victories of the cycle is in jeopardy, as Georgia is working to flip four-star offensive line commit Kennedee Jackson. The blue-chipper reportedly took an unexpected visit to Georgia just days after making his pledge to the Gators — a move that has stirred chatter in the recruiting sphere.

It is rumored that the Bulldogs are a real threat to snatch Jackson from Jon Sumrall and the Gators. The 6-foot-6-inch, 300-pound OL is rated as the No. 9 player in the Peach State and the No. 16 tackle according to the 247Sports composite. The Lithonia High School product committed to Florida on June 2.

247Sports’ Benjamin Wolk weighed in on the situation, saying, “Despite Florida’s awareness of the trip, the Bulldogs have reentered the picture in a major way.” Going on to state, “Jackson visited Athens, Georgia, with multiple family members, and the Bulldogs are now viewed as a legitimate threat to flip his commitment… A resolution could come soon.”

Jackson tweeted on his X account, formerly known as Twitter, saying, “I’m not doing any interviews at this time, thanks.”

Next season, Sumrall will be the fourth Florida head coach to face off against Georgia during the Kirby Smart era. Smart took over in Athens before the 2016 campaign.
