Rutgers finished with five wins last season after a disastrous defensive showing week in and week out.
If that improves, can Rutgers improve its win total in 2026? That could be the case based on the offensive firepower returning.
The duo of wide receiver KJ Duff and running back Antwan Raymond is considered one of the best combos in the Big Ten. Each year, fans await to see how their guys are ranked in the newest College Football video game and in 2027, Rutgers has two ranked in the top six by position.
KJ Duff had a breakout season in 2025. After that, he holds a 92 rating in College Football 27, which is the fifth-highest by a wide receiver in the nation and second in the Big Ten, behind Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith.
Duff logged 1,084 yards on 60 catches with seven touchdowns last season. He led the team in receiving and is the heavy favorite to do so once again.
Raymond took over as the primary back for Rutgers and looks like the next great. He comes in with a 92 rating as well in the video game. This is sixth-highest among running backs in the nation and tops in the Big Ten.
Raymond rushed for 1,241 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. He carried the ball 244 and averaged 5.1 yards per carry.
