Vanderbilt football has announced its SEC media days attendees for the 2026 event.

Running back Sedrick Alexander, wide receiver Junior Sherrill and defensive lineman Yilanan Ouattara will represent the Commodores along with coach Clark Lea.

The event will be held July 20-23 in Tampa, Florida, at the Tampa Marriott Water Street and JW Marriott. The Commodores will be featured on July 21.

In 2025, quarterback Diego Pavia was one of Vanderbilt's attendees along with cornerback Martel Hight and safety Randon Fontenette.

Pavia and tight end Eli Stowers are gone now, with five-star quarterback Jared Curtis expected to be the starting quarterback. Curtis was not on the list of attendees, however, which is not surprising given that he is a true freshman.

Instead, the Commodores will send their top running back in Alexander and wide receiver in Sherrill, as well as the fifth-year Ouattara, who missed the majority of 2026 with injury.

In 2025, Sherrill, who graduated from Lipscomb Academy, had 54 catches for 784 yards and seven touchdowns. Among wide receivers on the team, he was first in receptions, tied for first in touchdowns and second in receiving yards. Sherrill figures to take over even more of the primary pass-catching duties.

Alexander rushed 105 times for 567 yards and 11 touchdowns, each of which led Commodores running backs in 2025. A fourth-year starter, he is one of the most experienced running backs in the SEC.

Ouattara played in just two games and recorded two tackles in 2025 while dealing with a shoulder injury. In 2024, he had 31 tackles, five tackles for loss and two sacks while primarily playing nose tackle.
