Syracuse Orange football fans should start clearing out their Saturdays, because all but one game on the 2026 calendar will be on that day.
The ACC recently unveiled its full Friday slate for the season. The Orange, along with North Carolina and Georgia Tech, are the three teams from the conference who will not play any of their 12 regular season games on a Friday.
As a result, Syracuse’s home game versus SMU on Halloweekend will be on October 31, the program confirmed. This announcement also means the Clemson matchup happening the week after will also be on Saturday as part of Homecoming Weekend.
Syracuse’s only non-Saturday game of 2026 will be on September 17, a Thursday, against Pittsburgh on the road. It will be an early, key stretch for the Orange to navigate, given that the Orange will open its ACC slate at home against California the Saturday before.
After that, Syracuse will have its only bye week before heading on a road trip to UConn and Virginia, followed by the rest of the schedule.
The conference will release kickoff times and TV information for all its Thursday and Friday games on May 27, the ACC announced.
