Texas A&M drops two spots in AP Top 25 entering Week 2

Despite securing its largest shutout victory since 1997, the Texas A&M Aggies dropped two spots in the AP Top 25 entering Week 2.
The third year of the Mike Elko era in Bryan-College Station kicked off with a 50-0 win over Missouri State in the season opener on Saturday night, marking his 20th win at the helm. Junior quarterback Marcel Reed showcased his offseason improvements, throwing for 223 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Texas A&M was one of 12 SEC teams to secure wins of 21 points or more in Week 1, including the LSU Tigers, who demolished Clemson, 51-10 at Tiger Stadium to kickstart the Lane Kiffin era in Baton Rouge.
