Texas A&M’s No. 1-ranked 2027 recruiting class continues to earn national praise after landing its sixth five-star prospect, as wide receiver Eric McFarland made things official last Sunday, just days after five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson committed to the Aggies over Notre Dame on the Pat McAfee show.

Focused on A&M’s future linebacker rotation, senior Daymion Sanford is expected to depart after the 2026 season, as well as Tulsa transfer Ray Coney, while sophomore Noah Mikhail is expected to earn a starting spot this season and lead the room the following two seasons. In the 2026 recruiting class, the Aggies signed four linebackers, who are all expected to compete for starting and rotational spots in 2027.

Even after landing Kaden Henderson, coach Mike Elko and new linebackers coach Travis Williams are in hot pursuit of four-star New Jersey-based linebacker Mikahi Allen, who, after his official visit to College Station, has slowly but surely become a slight favorite to land with the Aggies, along with the Syracuse Orange.

After losing out on five-star cornerback Joshua Dobson, who committed to South Carolina on Wednesday night, Allen has become priority No. 1 outside of five-star running back Landon Williams-Callis. Last week, AggieYell insider Jaxson Callaway stated that the “latest buzz” favors the Aggies to land Allen, and has officially placed his prediction for Texas A&M to secure the four-star LB’s commitment.

During his 2025 junior season, Allen recorded 58 tackles, seven sacks, three forced fumbles, and three interceptions on the year.
