Texas got their first commitment of the 2028 cycle last week when four-star quarterback Neimann Lawrence pledged to the Longhorns. They have now been named in the top 10 schools for four-star edge Luke Nabors.

The competition for Nabors is pretty steep. He’s also considering Miami, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Indiana, Texas Tech, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech in addition to Texas.

Nabors is the No. 264 player nationally and the No. 24 edge per 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of Georgia, he’s the No. 34 recruit.

As a sophomore, Nabors appeared in eight games for Buford High School. He racked up 12 tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack, and two quarterback hurries.

Nabors received an offer from the Longhorns back in January, but they haven’t hosted him for an official visit yet. After being named in his top 10, the Longhorns will surely work to make that happen during the season.
