Trolling a rival is one of the key parts of being a college football fan, but Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian is not pleased that his program did some trolling during Texas' 27-17 win over the Texas A&M Aggies last season in Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium.

With the Longhorns kneeing the clock out as they secured their second straight win over the Aggies, the jumbotron played a clip of Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko saying that the Aggies were "the flagship program in this state" at a press conference. The screen quickly cut to someone yelling "Sike" before it cut to highlights of Texas players celebrating big plays, to the delight of the Longhorns fans in attendance.

While the crowd and social media may have appreciated the jab at their rival, Sarkisian admitted that he did not like it Thursday at SEC Media Days.

“I was not happy about it,” Sarkisian responded when asked about the troll job. He went on to explain that he respects football and believes there is a right and wrong way to handle yourself.

“I respect the game of football and I respect college football and I respect the football gods and there is a way to go about our business and there’s a way not. Rivalries are great, but we got to be able to fight the emotions that come with the rivalry and I think that’s why we’ve had success in some of our rivalry games, whether it’s A&M or OU or Arkansas,” Sarkisian said.

Texas A&M will have a chance to get some revenge against Texas on Nov. 27 when they host them at Kyle Field. The Aggies have not beaten the Longhorns since the two renewed their rivalry, and now trail the all-time series 37-78-5.
