UNC football to wear throwbacks for Week 2 vs. ETSU

The North Carolina Tar Heels return to the field this Saturday as they face off against East Tennessee State at Kenan Memorial Stadium. After beating TCU in Week 0 in Ireland, UNC had a week off to rest and get ready for a tough slate ahead.

UNC enters this week as 34.5-point favorites at home against a Buccaneers team that is currently 1-1. With it being the home opener for the Tar Heels, they are paying homage to the 1980 team that won the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship. They were the last Tar Heels' team to win the ACC title.

On Thursday, North Carolina unveiled their uniforms for Saturday's matchup, and they are going with some new throwbacks. The Tar Heels will be wearing the 1980 throwbacks that feature a blue helmet, blue top and white pants.

The helmet will have UNC on it, while the front of the jersey top will have "Carolina" on it. Take a look below:

It's the first time UNC has worn these as they were teased last season with Bill Belichick and the program reportedly ordering new throwbacks. Now that they are finally here, it gets us pretty pumped up for the game on Saturday.
