The college football season is in its third week, and one of the most anticipated battles of the season is about to commence. LSU Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin makes his long-awaited return to Oxford to take on his former Ole Miss Rebels team.
It’s bound to be an emotional night in Oxford, and there’s no doubt what kind of reception Kiffin would receive. Now, that highly anticipated welcome has been captured on camera.

Kiffin was captured on camera entering Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, and the boos rained down. It was a heavy pour as the Ole Miss crowd welcomed Kiffin back to the stadium of the team he left for LSU late last season.

Kiffin-led LSU vs. Ole Miss
While Kiffin’s return has dominated the headlines, the matchup itself carries significant implications for both programs. No. 7 LSU and No. 8 Ole Miss enter Saturday night’s showdown unbeaten at 2-0. This is the first time since 1962 that the two programs have met while both ranked inside the top 10.

LSU enters its first SEC game of the season after dominating Clemson and Louisiana Tech. Ole Miss has also looked strong through two games, defeating Louisville and UNC-Charlotte. Now, both teams face their first major test of the season with the national spotlight squarely on Oxford.
