Jaylen Raynor, a 6-foot-1, 208-pound senior, continues to lead the offense as the starting quarterback. Redshirt sophomore Connor Moberly is listed as the sole No. 2 option, with redshirt sophomore Zane Flores behind him at No. 3.
In the backfield, redshirt sophomore Aiden Flora holds the starting running back role, backed by redshirt sophomore Cameron Pettaway. Both players also handle return duties on special teams.
The receiving corps features redshirt sophomore Dominic Overby starting at WRX ahead of Carter Pabst. Redshirt senior Omari Hayes starts at WRF, backed by redshirt senior Ty Claiborne. At WRZ, redshirt senior Cody Jackson and freshman Jamal Polite Jr. share co-starter status with an “OR” designation.
At tight end and hybrid positions, redshirt senior Tyler Fortenberry and redshirt junior Vince Benetti are co-starters at the Y position ahead of Christian Greenlaw. Redshirt junior AJ Petersen holds the top spot at the F position over Rylan Barnes.
Along the offensive line, redshirt junior Jake Taylor anchors the unit at left tackle ahead of redshirt senior Gabriel Greenlee. Redshirt junior Caden Maas starts at left guard ahead of Garret Rutledge, while redshirt sophomore Braden Smith starts at center ahead of freshman Kingston Fotualii. Redshirt junior Austin Barrett holds the starting spot at right guard, backed by redshirt freshman Trevor Bindel and redshirt sophomore DeAndre Carter. Redshirt senior Maasai King starts at right tackle, backed by Colin Amick.
Defensively, senior Isaac Terrell starts at defensive end, backed by co-backups Blake Hawkins and Jack Janikowski. Redshirt senior Bryson Lamb starts at defensive tackle alongside Max Baloun, who shares co-starting duties with Zaimir Hawk. Jace Gilbert and Donovan Fitzmaurice supply interior depth. At the opposite defensive end position, redshirt senior Caden Crawford and junior Malaki Ta’ase are co-starters ahead of redshirt freshman Trey Verdon.
The linebacker unit features redshirt senior Carson Willich at Will linebacker, backed by co-backups Beau Goodwin and Montreze Smith Jr.. Sophomore Sullivan Schlimgen starts at middle linebacker ahead of co-backups Tristan Exline and Landon Kalsbeck. Junior Willie Breland III starts at Sam linebacker, backed by redshirt senior Malcolm Jones.
In the secondary, redshirt junior Drew Surges — who leads the defense with seven career starts at Iowa State — starts at strong safety ahead of redshirt senior Micah Harper. Redshirt senior Duhron Goodman starts at free safety, backed by redshirt junior Brody Miller and Eddie Lemos. At cornerback, redshirt sophomore David Coffey and redshirt junior Beni Ngoyi share co-starter status at one spot. On special teams, redshirt sophomore Jonah DuPont handles punting and holding duties ahead of freshman Ethan Gurney. Junior Caleb Schmidt starts at long snapper, while redshirt freshman Gavin Schieler handles short snapping duties. Redshirt junior Kyle Konrardy is the primary placekicker, backed by Adlai Lounsbury. Aiden Flora and Omari Hayes handle punt returns, while Cameron Pettaway and Aiden Flora handle kickoff return duties.
