Will Auburn football land 2027 OL Rance Brown on Monday?

The Memorial Day holiday is Monday, and while many people will be firing up the grill or breaking out the jet skis, Auburn coaches will be patiently awaiting the decision of three-star offensive lineman Rance Brown.

Brown, a three-star offensive tackle originally from Gadsden, will announce his commitment on Monday at 11 a.m. CT, when he will choose between the Auburn Tigers and the Kentucky Wildcats.

Where do the Auburn Tigers sit in Brown's recruitment ahead of his big decision? According to Rivals' Recruiting Prediction Machine, Auburn leads Kentucky by an overwhelming margin at 96%, compared to the Wildcats' 2% forecast. Rivals' recruiting experts Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong each submitted predictions last week that favored Auburn to win the race for Brown, with Kentucky insider Adam Luckett adding his prediction for the Tigers on Sunday. Each expert holds a prediction success rate of over 75% and picked Brown to commit to Auburn with 60% confidence. Brown has not received a crystal ball prediction from 247Sports.

In a recent interview with Tom Loy of 247Sports, Brown shared that Kentucky's persistence is not lost on him and that he appreciates the effort they have shown on the recruiting trail. However, Auburn's value of in-state talent as well as the idea of playing for a home-state program are major factors for Brown.

Brown is a 6-foot-6, 290-pound offensive tackle, and will play his senior season at Brentwood Academy in metro Nashville after spending three seasons at Southside High School, just outside of Gadsden. The three-star prospect ranks No. 69 among 2027 offensive tackles and is the No. 37 player from the state of Tennessee. Auburn ranks No. 18 in Rivals' 2027 recruiting rankings ahead of Brown's scheduled commitment, with two offensive linemen commits in three-star Jaylon Moore and four-star Layton von Brandt.

Brown will choose between Auburn and Kentucky on Monday at 11 a.m. CT. CBS Sports' YouTube Channel will live stream the decision.
