Oh, the season of speculation.
Everybody loves to predict and explain why they feel like certain things are going to happen, and we here at ATVS are no different.
Today, we’re going to look at the first schedule for Lane Kiffin at LSU and make way too early predictions on which games LSU will win or lose.
Week 1 – Clemson
This is the second part of a home-and-home series with the school that also calls their stadium Death Valley (they’re gonna learn today). After a hard-fought win in the opener last year, things went south for the Bayou Bengals. I don’t think the story will be written the same. I see Kiffin and LSU sending a message at home against a still good, but weaker, Clemson side. LSU wins 38-17.
Week 2 – Louisiana Tech
I don’t need to say much here. LSU wins BIG.
Week 3 – @ Ole Miss
This one, they’re already writing a book about.
After all the coach/player swapping, all the trash talk, the quick jabs, etc.
We’re going to settle it between the lines. These two teams will run the SEC in my honest opinion in 2026, and this will show the rest of the country that fact.
I think this one goes to Ole Miss is a close heartbreaker. 38-35
Week 4- vs Texas A&M W
Week 5 – vs McNeese W
Week 6 – @ Kentucky W
Week 7 – vs Mississippi State W
Week 8 – @ Auburn W
Week 9 – BYE
Week 10 – vs Alabama W
Week 11 – vs Texas L
Week 12 – @ Tennessee W
Week 13 – @ Arkansas W
Record: 11-1
With this record and wins over Ole Miss, Clemson, Tennessee, and Alabama, LSU will likely be in the SEC title game against the likes of Georgia, Ole Miss, or Texas. With that, LSU would easily be in the College Football Playoff for the first time under the 12-team model.
Again, this is purely prediction and conversation, but things are looking strong for the Fightin’ Tigers of LSU.
