Winners and Losers from Georgia football vs. Auburn
The Georgia Bulldogs faced the Auburn Tigers in an SEC college football rivalry game on Saturday. The game featured some unexpected lead changes and a game-winning field goal from the Tigers. The Bulldogs lost 27-24. Here are the winners and losers from the contest.
Winners:
Auburn QB Byrum Brown: Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown had a great performance, showcasing his dual-threat ability. Brown led the team in both passing and rushing. He went 15 of 26 for 150 yards and a touchdown and had 26 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown. Brown really carried the team on his back.
Georgia WR Craig Dandrige: Georgia wide receiver Craig Dandrige led the team in receiving, with four catches and 88 yards, averaging 22 yards per catch. His longest catch was 41 yards. The freshman is making an impact.
Losers:
Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton: Georgia quarterback Stockton went 22 of 34 for 272 yards and two touchdowns. But he did have two interceptions and a fumble that likely cost them the game. He tried to lead them to victory when things were bleak, but didn't get it done this time around.
Georgia football as a whole: The Bulldogs had a longer time of possession and outgained Auburn in total yards, passing yards, and yards per play, and still lost. They allowed two sacks, and Auburn had zero turnovers. Georgia has to win those types of games.
Georgia is now 6-1, and will take on the Florida Gators on October 31st.
