The Wisconsin Badgers are entering into a crucial fourth year under head coach Luke Fickell. With each year showing a regression in the record, the clock is ticking for next season to be a successful one.
When teams are under pressure, there is usually a sudden spike in upperclassmen joining the program; while this isn’t always a surefire method, it can never be a bad thing to bring in guys who have seen these moments before.
Fickell and Co. appear to be following this strategy, as, according to Rotowire’s average age of every team, the Badgers rank 43rd, tied with Southern Miss, Eastern Michigan, and BYU, with an average age of 20.42.
This ranks seventh in the Big Ten and 20th in Power Conference football.
According to Wisconsin’s roster, 46 players are listed as upperclassmen.
