MADISON – Abu Sama’s status for Wisconsin’s Homecoming game remains in doubt.

The availability report for the Badgers’ game against Michigan State lists UW’s leading rusher as questionable for the third straight day. Sama suffered an upper body injury during the second quarter of the Badgers’ 24-20 win at Penn State on Sept. 26 and did not return.

If Sama is unable to play, junior Darron Dupree will likely start in his place. Dupree ran for 52 yards in eight carries and caught four passes 44 yards last week.

The Big Ten releases available reports beginning four days before the game. The list is updated each evening with the gameday listing released two hours before kickoff.

UW (3-1, 1-0 Big Ten) and Michigan State (2-2, 0-1) kick off at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3.
