There’s been a ton of brewing hype for the Wisconsin Badgers with their Week 1 matchup against the No. 4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

While the Badgers are 20.5-point underdogs, there has still been a good amount of excitement surrounding Wisconsin ahead of the season, with the team currently being the odds-on favorite to clear their 6.5-win projection for the 2026 campaign.

On the flip side, Notre Dame is looking to start their season with a bang after narrowly missing out on the College Football Playoff last season.

The overall hype around the game, especially with it being at Lambeau Field, has driven up ticket prices for Week 1 to a record-breaking amount. Currently, the average ticket purchase price is $410, which would be the most in-demand Wisconsin home game on record, according to TickPick.

The No. 2 game? Wisconsin’s 2021 bout against Notre Dame in the other part of the Shamrock Series, which had an average purchase price of $300, according to TickPick.

Currently, the cheapest ticket for the game exceeds $200. That could change closer to kickoff, but it’s set to be one of the most expensive Wisconsin games in recent memory.

It’s a stark difference from Wisconsin’s season opener against Western Illinois last year, and it should be an exciting game one way or another. We’ll see what the Badger turnout looks like on Sunday, but there seems to be quite a bit of interest in this Week 1 bout.
